On Tuesday morning, there were strong earthquake tremors felt in Tibet, Nepal, Bangladesh, and India. The earthquake, which struck numerous cities in North India, had Tibet and Nepal as its epicenter. The earthquake in Tibet claimed many lives.
The sun rose on Tuesday amid tremors from earthquakes in Nepal and Tibet. Tremors also occurred in several areas of Bangladesh and India; the epicenter was in Tibet, the site of a strong 7.1-magnitude earthquake. According to a statement from China, 62 people were injured, and 53 people died as a result of the strong earthquake that struck the Tibet region close to the Nepali border.
The city of Shigatse experienced an earthquake in Tibet. In Shigatse City’s Dingri County, there were seismic tremors. China, however, reported that the earthquake’s intensity was 6.8. The earthquake happened ten kilometers below the surface. Around seven in the morning, at least six earthquake tremors of a magnitude of four to five were recorded in less than an hour, according to the USGS report.
The earthquake struck at 6:52 in the morning. There were tremors felt in many districts of Nepal, including Dhading, Kavre, Makwanpur, Sindhupalchowk, and Kathmandu. Even though there haven’t been any reports of Indian casualties yet, there were tremors felt in many North Indian cities.
The people of Nepal were terrified by the strength of this earthquake. It reminded me of the deadly 2015 earthquake that claimed nine thousand lives.
