Demonte Colony 2, also known as Demonte Colony II: Vengeance of the Unholy is a Tamil supernatural horror film that debuted in theatres on August 15 and is scheduled to debut on Zee5 on September 27 for its online release. The platform has announced that the film will be available in both Tamil and Telugu. The official Zee5 X account tweeted the news, stating, “The haunting past returns with a vengeance! Streaming in Tamil and Telugu from 27th September only on ZEE5”. The tweet included a creepy trailer for the movie.
More about the release: Demonte Colony 2 is the second film that R.Ajayer Gnanamuthu has directed. It is a followup to the 2015 film Demonte Colony and stars Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles, with support from Archana Ravichandran, Vijay Subramaniam, Tsering Dorjee, Arun Pandian, and others. Production credits go to Bobby Balachandran, Vijay Subramaniam, and RC Rajkumar under the banners of BTG Universal, White Knights Entertainment, and Gnanamuthu Pattarai. Sam CS was brought in to compose the soundtrack, and Sam CS is responsible for the film’s cinematography and editing. Kumaresh D. handles editing.
After opening to a favourable review from the public, the film went on to become a box office success, making an impressive Rs 55 crore. At present, it stands as one of the highest-grossing Tamil films. It tells the tale of a group of friends who return to a cursed place to uncover the truth about the evil spirits that reside there.
