Kamala Harris accepted the candidacy and vowed to become the president of all Americans

US Vice President Kamala Harris has formally accepted the Democratic Party’s 2024 presidential nomination to contest against her Republican rival Donald Trump. She has pledged to be a president who unites Americans. “On behalf of the people, on behalf of every American, regardless of party, race, gender, or the language your grandmother spoke, on behalf of all those whose story can only be written in the greatest nation on earth, I accept your nomination for President of the United States,” she said during her address at the United Center in Chicago on the last day of the four-day Democratic National Convention.

During her speech, she pledged to be a president who unites Americans and fights for America’s future. Kamala Harris said, “With this election, our country has a precious and fleeting opportunity to move beyond the bitterness, pessimism, and divisive battles of the past. “We have a chance to chart a new path forward, not as members of any one party or faction, but as Americans.” Kamala Harris, an Indian-origin candidate, became the Democratic nominee after 81-year-old President Joe Biden was forced to withdraw from the White House race. If successful, 59-year-old Harris will become the first female US President.

Targeting Donald Trump

During her address, she criticized Donald Trump and said, “Donald Trump is a non-serious person in many ways.” Trump’s return to the White House will have serious consequences. We have all seen what has happened in the country during Trump’s tenure and after he left office. Trump tried to deny the decision of the voters. When he lost the last election, he sent a mob with the aim of attacking, which tore apart democracy. We do not have to go back, we have to move forward with a golden future. A future in which the middle class can be taken special care of because this class has played a special role in the success of America During my tenure, strengthening the middle class will be one of my objectives. She said, “I love my country with all my heart. Wherever I go and whomever I meet, I see a nation that is ready to move forward, ready for the next step, and ready for America’s incredible journey.” She said, “No one needs to fail for all of us to succeed.” Harris called on voters to be inspired by optimism as the election approaches.
