India vs New Zealand Updates: Day 2 New Zealand Beats India Leading by Score 188

The India vs New Zealand match was held in Pune on the second day. New Zealand are on top of the test against their rivals India and were ahead in the first inning with a score of 188.

 

In the first innings, in the morning session, New Zealand defeated the Indian batting line-up by a score of 105. After lunch, New Zealand again defeated India by a score of 156 thanks to New Zealand player Mitchell Santner who scored 7 out of 53 points.

 

Mitchell Santner managed to make New Zealand far ahead of India, and this was Santner’s best achievement in his career as one of the players of the New Zealand national team.

 

After being ahead in the previous innings, at the end of the match New Zealand managed to gain an advantage of 18 after they added 85 more runs. The score remained until the end of the match on the second day of Friday, October 25.

 

India in New Zealand’s Shadow on the Second Day of the Test

 

Tom Latham and Will Young were full of confidence and consolidated their position in the second test by achieving a score of 85/2. The New Zealanders overcame the early setback of losing Devon Conway to score 42 runs.

 

After Latham and Young had done well in the opening overs, Kiwi spinner Mitchell Santner came on to destroy the Indian Batting line-up for 156 runs in the first innings with his best figures of 7/53 in 19.3 overs.

 

On the other hand, India started the day on a positive note with Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal adding 49 for the second wicket before falling for six wickets to add 53 runs as India trailed 107 for 7 at lunch.

 

India’s best cricketer, Virat Kohli played the most forgettable shot of the morning to be clean bowled for 1 while Ravindra Jadeja, Akash Deep and Jaspit Bumrah were all dismissed by Santner after returning in the post-lunch session.
