In Sunday’s fifth and final Twenty20 match, India defeated England by 150 runs, mostly because to the all-around play of new sensation Abhishek Sharma. Team India won the five-match series 4-1 with the win at Mumbai’s Wankhede. The two sides’ three-match ODI series starts on February 6. In 54 balls, Abhishek scored 135 runs. His coach, Yuvraj Singh, has responded to his blazing batting. However, when Varun Chakraborty made a catch during the game, coach Gautam Gambhir could not help but smile.

“What a great play, Abhishek!” Yuvraj tweeted following Abhishek’s innings. I would like to see you performing this. You have my admiration. Yuvraj does not hesitate to tweet when Abhishek Sharma does well. Yuvraj had previously tweeted sarcastically after Abhishek hit 79 runs in 34 balls in the opening Twenty20 match. “Good start for the boys in the series!” he wrote. Our batsmen did a good job of matching the tone set by our bowlers. Abhishek Sharma, nice run! Your ability to hit two boundaries down the ground is impressive. Abhishek, 24, reached his half-century in just 17 balls in Mumbai before finishing with an incredible century in just 37 balls. The fastest century in T20 cricket history was achieved in just 10.1 overs during the innings.

Simultaneously, Gambhir’s response is becoming widely shared. In reality, India made some excellent outfield catches, but Varun Chakraborty’s long-on try prompted India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir to respond

Bryden Carse attempted to knock a six off Abhishek’s delivery on the opening ball of the eighth over, but Varun caught the ball close to the boundary line. Varun had to cover a lot of ground, so it was not an easy catch. Gambhir, seated in the dugout close to the boundary, responded to the catch in a startling way. He was observed extending his hand in appreciation of the catch. This is due to Varun’s lack of recognition as one of India’s top fielders. He has also missed a lot of catches. Perhaps Gambhir was also taken aback by the quality of fielding in this type of situation.

In 20 overs, India amassed a huge 247/9. After then, Team India’s bowlers performed like magicians, taking wickets at regular intervals and limiting England to 97 runs. Shivam Dubey, Abhishek Sharma, and Varun Chakravarthy each claimed two wickets. The maximum number of wickets taken by Mohammed Shami was three. After defeating New Zealand by 168 runs in 2023, India’s 150-run triumph presently ranks as the second-largest victory by run margin in T20 Internationals. But Abhishek won this game, recording his name in the record books with an innings of 135 runs off 54 balls that included seven fours and thirteen sixes.
