The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy will see a significant move from the International Cricket Council. The PCB and BCCI members will meet in person at an ICC meeting. The entire tournament picture will not be clear until after this meeting, and it is likely that a hybrid model will be used.

There is still controversy surrounding the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. The Indian cricket team has already declined to go on a tour of the nearby nation. However, the ICC has not yet released the schedule because Pakistan does not want to use a hybrid model for this tournament. The International Cricket Council has now made a significant decision in this regard. A board meeting of the ICC is imminent. Only then will everything regarding the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 become clear.

At the ICC meeting, the ultimate decision will be made

The ICC is scheduled to meet on November 26 to discuss the Champions Trophy, according to media reports. All board members, including those from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), will participate in this virtual meeting. This meeting will cover the Champions Trophy schedule, format, group stage schedule, and India-Pakistan match. Only after this meeting will it be determined whether or not a hybrid model will be used for the tournament. Whether or not Pakistan will take part depends on whether it is played on a hybrid model.

According to earlier reports, ICC officials are attempting to persuade the Pakistan Cricket Board to pursue a hybrid model for the ICC Champions Trophy the following year through unseen negotiations. In other words, ICC representatives are trying to convince the PCB to accept a hybrid format for this competition. In addition, the ICC explains why the hybrid model is the most effective way to conduct the tournament and why the Indian cricket team is essential to its success. In this case, the hybrid model can also be presented to the PCB during this meeting.

Lahore is the planned venue for India’s matches

Three locations have been chosen for the ICC Champions Trophy, which will take place in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9 of next year. A few months ago, the PCB published its draft schedule, which suggested holding all of Team India’s games in Lahore. In this case, the schedule will undergo numerous modifications if the tournament is conducted using a hybrid model. It is anticipated that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host all of Team India’s games. In addition, the final and semifinal games may take place outside of Pakistan.
