The costume of the iconic hero Superman, played by Henry Cavill, was damaged, James Gunn revealed that it was Tom Brittney who damaged the costume during the DCU auditions before finally being cast as Superman fell on David Corenswet.
Henry Cavill appeared wearing the newest Superman costume Man of Steel in 2013. Unfortunately the costume worn by Henry Cavill was damaged during the selection of the newest Superman actor for DC United (DCU) which previously replaced the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).
James Gunn was seen responding to a social media user X and confirmed the truth about the damage to the Superman costume worn by Henry Cavill.
“Yes. Tom messed it up and then Corenswet came in and he was way too tall so just got torn to shreds. BTW, Tom is truly one of my favorite actors. Incredibly talented guy.” James Gunn Replied to X.

There has been no official confirmation regarding the release date of the latest Superman series, but according to reports from the DCU the trailer will debut in the first half of 2025.
David Corenswet received praise from James Gun for playing the Man of Steel or Superman very well. The newest character, Krypto the Super-Dog, will appear in the 2025 Superman film.
