This month, Anant Singh was released from Beur Jail. He was released on the morning of August 16, 2024. His release was ordered by the Patna High Court in two separate cases registered at Barh and Secretariat police stations. The court had ordered the release due to lack of evidence. After the release of Anant Singh, his supporters were very happy. A huge crowd gathered to welcome him outside Beur Jail and in his home district, Mokama. Keep in mind that Anant Singh was sentenced to 10 years each by the lower court for the recovery of deadly weapons like AK-47s from Anant Singh’s house in Nadwan. After that, he had to resign from the post of MLA.
