Polish YouTuber Karolina Goswami claims to have received threats from Dhruv Rathee fans. She even uploaded a video on her Instagram showing herself accompanied by two security guards while walking on a street in India.
In the video she uploaded, Karolina Goswami wrote a caption, “We feature nothing. We will continue living in India no matter what happens.” adding a love emoticon and the hashtag #iloveindia in her upload.
Karolina Goswami is a Polish citizen and also an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holder, she and her husband Anurag have a YouTube channel ‘India in Details’ and has over 1.1 million followers.
In one of the videos she and her husband uploaded on their YouTube Channel India in Details, Karolina Goswami questioned the method used by Dhruv Rathee for his video titled ‘World Happiness Index 2021’.
One of the quotes that Karolina criticized was Dhruv Rathee claiming in a World Happiness Index 2021 video that Pakistanis are happier than Indians. Karolina and her husband have also uploaded several YouTube videos in which they accuse Rathee of lying and being a ‘Fake Intelectual’.
In May 2024, Karolina Goswami admitted to having received more than 220 threats from Dhruv Rathee fans, and she uploaded her confession on her YouTube channel.
Not only that, a year earlier, Karolina shared a video in which she accused Dhruv Rathee of sending bad guys to attack her family in Germany. There are allegations that this was done Rathee did this because Karolina tried to fact-check his video.
The video, which was shared on Instagram earlier this week, has gone viral on the internet and has been viewed more than 4 million times. One user commented on the post on Instagram.
“For those who don’t know, these security guards are for the radical fans of Youtuber Dhruv Rathee.” wrote one user on Karolina’s Instagram.
