Early Morning Rain in Delhi-NCR Disrupts Traffic

Heavy rain on Wednesday early morning caused flooding in many areas. Some people who are about to leave for the office and school have to face traffic jams. 

 

The department has issued a yellow alert for this and forecasts more rain in Delhi-NCR on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

 

Traffic will be severely disrupted due to heavy rain accompanied by thunder. The likelihood of vehicle accidents may increase, and water pooling will accumulate in low-lying areas and on highways.

 

On Tuesday, there was light rain in the capital city of Delhi. The maximum temperature at that time reached 34.2 degrees Celsius, and the minimum was 22.2 degrees Celsius.

 

Safdarjung recorded rainfall on Tuesday up to 08:30 amounting to 16.8 mm, Lodhi Road recorded 15.8 mm, Palam 6.9 mm, Ayanagar 6.4 mm, and the University Ridge and Delhi 2.5 mm.

Weather Forecast by the Meteorology Department

 

Through social media X, the Meteorology Department wrote, “Lights in several places in Delhi (Dilshad Garden, Seemapuri, Vivek Vihar, RK Puram, Defense Colony).” There is a possibility of moderate rainfall in Lajpat Nagar, Vasant Kunj, Hauz Khas, Malviya Nagar, Kalkaji, Mehrauli, Tughlakabad, NCR (Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram), and there may also be light rain.

 

The Meteorological Department predicts light to moderate rain in Delhi-NCR on Wednesday, with a possibility of heavy rain on Thursday. 

 

Light rain is expected on Friday and Saturday, with a chance of light drizzle on Sunday. During this period, the sky will remain cloudy, and there is a possibility of light rain on Monday and Tuesday.
