With the temperature dropping, Delhi, the nation’s capital, is seeing an increase in pollution. As a result, on Friday, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) will implement Grape 3 restrictions in the Delhi and NCR region. Let us tell you, it was removed earlier because the pollution level had decreased. It has been put into effect right now in Delhi and the neighboring areas.

Let us inform you that there has been an increase in Delhi’s air pollution levels. At 4 pm, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) for the previous 24 hours was 371, falling into the “very poor” category. At 9 am, the AQI was 351. At 7:30 am, the humidity was recorded at 100%. The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology and the India Meteorological Department have issued forecasts indicating that unfavorable weather conditions will likely cause the state of air quality to deteriorate.

In the districts of Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddha Nagar, Divyang people will be permitted to use light vehicles (cars) with BS III petrol engines and BS IV diesel engines for personal needs under GRAP-3.

In Delhi, the transportation of goods by MGVs (Medium Goods Vehicles) equipped with BS IV diesel engines will be prohibited. The only cars exempt from this prohibition will be those used for essential services.

In GRAP III, schools in Delhi NCR are able to offer hybrid instruction up to class V. Depending on what works best for them, parents can opt for online or offline instruction.

The Delhi government and the NCR-related state governments have the authority to alter the hours that government departments and civic organizations are open for business under GRAP III.

The concerned organizations will need to make sure that the new Grap 3 provisions are followed.
