From CM Atishi, the Delhi government has chosen to declare November 7 a vacation for Chhath. On Friday, November 1, she made this announcement. To mark a full-time holiday, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena wrote CM Atishi a letter earlier today.
I am happy to inform you that the Delhi government has decided that there will be a holiday on the festival of Chhath on November 7 so that all the brothers and sisters of Purvanchal can celebrate the festival of Chhath with pomp and show,” the Delhi Chief Minister wrote in a social media announcement.

Delhi is home to an important Purvanchal people. Chhath has been referred to as Bihar’s Mahaparva. The Delhi government announced the move in celebration of the Mahaparva of faith.
After CM Atishi’s choice, the Aam Aadmi Party said “Jai Chhathi Maiya.” The present from the AAP government to its Purvanchal family. So that all Purvanchal siblings can joyfully celebrate Chhath Mahaparva, the Delhi government has declared a holiday for the Chhath festival.
As per Chief Minister Atishi’s letter, the Chhath festival is an important time for Purvanchal brothers and sisters who live in the National Capital Region. As to the CM’s letter, a holiday has been set up on November 7th in celebration of the festival’s importance, allowing those who are fasting and celebrating to do so with a lot of celebration.
It really matters to note that, ahead of the next assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi’s opposition parties are engaged in an intense fight about the Yamuna’s filth. But the Aam Aadmi Party made a major stride by declaring a holiday for Chhath Puja. By doing this, the Delhi government wants to convey to people that it is always working in their best interest. In order to help people who bathe in the Yamuna remove both foam and pollution, the Delhi government is also striving to eradicate all of the foam from the river.
