Tirupati Police Reveals Complaint Through Mobile Hunt, Finds 310 Stolen Mobile Phone Worth ₹62 Lakh

Several complaints received by the Tirupati police via the Mobile Hunt application and via the Central Equipment Identity Register portal, have now come to light.

 

Tirupati police finds 310 stolen mobile phones worth ₹62 lakh from July 18 until now. The police recover the phones in the 11th phase of tracking.

 

Superintendent of Police (SP) L. Subbarayudu announced this on Tuesday while addressing a media conference in Tirupati.

 

“The public can lodge their complaints on ‘Mobile Hunt’ by reaching out to us on WhatsApp at 9490617873. The cell phone will be blocked first to prevent misuse, following which our teams will work towards its recovery by tracking it,” Subbarayudu said.

 

310 stolen mobile phone shown at press conference and on that occasion Mr. Subbarayudu praised the cyber team for successfully solving the case.

 

Apart from praising the cyber team, the SP also appreciated R. Vinod Kumar as Cyber Crime Inspector for his effort in recovering the stolen mobile phone.

 

The mobile phone found are then handed back to their respective owners and the public is advised to immediately block bank accounts connected to cell phone numbers that have been stolen. 

 

For further safety, Mr. Subbarayudu also suggested they get their mobile numbers blocked by contacting the operator
