Today, October 25, Google made a doodle in memory of Krishnakumar Kunnath (KK); his catchy voice made millions of people insane. The late singer KK, who started his career as a playback singer on this day in 1996 with the song “Chhod Aaye Hum” from the film Maachis, has been honoured by today’s Google Doodle.

KK was born in Delhi on August 23, 1968. He studied at Delhi University’s Kirorimal College and began his career in marketing before focusing totally on music. He first had the chance to play jingles for ads in 1994 after sending a demo of the CD to many Indian singers.

With the popular tune “Tadap Tadap” from the movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, KK made their formal Hindi film debut in 1999. He set up the project “Pal” that same year, which had several hits that launched him into the limelight. KK worked in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, and Gujarati films, as well as Hindi.

KK performed at a music event in Kolkata on May 31, 2022. On arriving at the motel, he passed out and fell onto the bed. He was then brought to the hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctors.
