Amil Sivakarthikeyan recently spoke about his limitations in using social media platforms, especially X, which used to be Twitter. He joked that Elon Musk blocking his X account would be a victory for him.
“In the last two years, I have used social media very little. If you want to use it, use the internet. This is my advice, but don’t use social media too much, especially Twitter. Maybe, I think Elon Musk will block my account. I think that will be my first victory,” Sivakarthikeyan said while attending the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.
Amil Sivakarthikeyan’s Career Journey
While in college, Sivakarthikeyan lost his father, and the incident affected him to the point where he eventually found solace on stage as an entertainer.
“I was depressed, I didn’t know what to do. To escape from that sadness, i went on stage. Applause and appreciation became one of my therapist,” said Sivakarthikeyan telling the story of his life after his father’s death.
His friends also encouraged him to appear on stage when he was still an engineer. And that was the beginning of his career in the entertainment world.
“My first stage was in college. My friends encouraged me and said, ‘Do whatever you like, the audience should enjoy it,’ that was the turning point in my career journey,” he said.
In 2007, Sivakarthikeyan entered the world of television as a host after a long, tiring and calculated approach in the entertainment world. He also shared his experiences and emphasized how he maximized his screen time to leave a deep impression on the audience.
“The television hosts came for a full hour because they mentioned the name of the show, so they couldn’t edit it,” said Sivakarthikeyan.
Family is Sivakarthikeyan’s Main Supporter
Sivakarthikeyan had thought about quitting the Indian entertainment industry, but his wife Aarthi kept pushing him to survive through the tough times. He felt a strong and unwavering encouragement from his wife that kept him going.
He also praised his mother who lovingly taught him life lessons even though her formal education was limited to eight grade. He acknowledged that his mother’s role was also very important in providing wisdom and shaping his views.
Sivakarthikeyan realizes that the digital era is currently very developed, where many celebrities depend on social media. However, Aarthi’s husband wisely chooses to limit his presence on social media.
