Salman Khan faced death threats some time ago. As a result of the threats, a 32-year-old man from Rajasthan was arrested in Karnataka and then handed over to the Maharashtra police.
The man named Bhika Ram or Vikram is a resident of Jalore in Rajasthan. He was accused of threatening to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Another fact is that Vikram claims to be a fan of Lawrence Bishnoi.
To PTI, Haveri Inspector Anshu Kumar gave a statement regarding the arrest of a man from Rajasthan named Bhikha Ram or Vikram.
“Based on information received from the Maharashtra ATS (Anti Terrorism Squad), one person was arrested in Haveri City and handed over to them today,” said Anshu Kumar, Haveri Police Inspector.
It is known that the man works at a construction site and lives in a rented room in Gowdar Oni. Sources say the accused had been moving around Karnataka before finally settling in Haveri about a month and a half ago.
According to police sources, while watching a regional news channel, Vikram suddenly called the Mumbai Police control room and threatened to kill Salman Khan.
Vikram told the police that he was a fan of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Hearing the threat, the police swung into action and arrested the daily wage worker.
After his confession, Vikram was interrogated in detail and further investigation will be carried out by the Mumbai Police after he was handed over to the Haveri Police.
Vikram’s Threat to Salman Khan
Vikram’s threat to Salman Khan read, “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our temple and apologize or pay ₹5 crore in return. If Salman Khan doesn’t do it, we will kill him, our gang is still active”.
In the beginning, Vikram had claimed to be the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Meanwhile, a case has been registered at Worli police station against the accused. Soon after, the Worli police team arrested the accused. And Bishnoi was arrested on Tuesday night after further interrogation, he was taken into custody by the Worli police.
