Review of Sikandar Ka Muqaddar Can Sikandar Predict The Police Officer’s Fate

Fans had been waiting a long time for the suspense thriller Sikandar Ka Muqaddar, starring Jimmy Shergill, Avinash Tiwari, and Tamannaah Bhatia. The largest OTT platform, Netflix, has finally released this Neeraj Pandey-directed movie. Does this two-and-a-half-hour film’s plot resemble the trailer?

Everyone’s pakodas were fried here, and you and Tabassum are in Switzerland. It is impossible to give director Neeraj Pandey enough credit for his return with impactful dialogue and a solid screenplay. Neeraj Pandey has directed movies in a variety of genres, including Special 26, Baby, and A Wednesday.

After making his OTT debut with Special Ops, the director’s eagerly anticipated film Sikander Ka Muqaddar has finally made its way to Netflix. A biopic of Sikandar Ke Muqaddar is being written, of which I am the director,” Jimmy Shergill stated in a dialogue in the movie’s trailer when it was first released.

You will have to consider who is writing whose fate, though, after seeing this movie. Who among Kamini Singh, Mangesh Desai, and Sikandar Sharma is the accused? That was the main mystery in the trailer. Every scene in the movie is so suspenseful that you could become so engrossed in it that, like Jimmy Shergill, you forget to eat and drink in your quest to find the accused. To find out if this Neeraj Pandey movie will keep you entertained for two and a half hours without getting bored, read the entire review:

After watching the film’s suspense, your head will spin.

The narrative of Sikandar Ka Muqadda starts during an exhibition at NESCO in Mumbai, when an unidentified caller asks to speak with Inspector Kamble, who is on duty. When Kamble answers the phone, he informs him that you have just five minutes to stop the four robbers from your exhibition, who are carrying AK-47s and have made false identification to get inside.

It is confirmed to be true by the police, who then notify everyone in the area. Just as they are starting to assemble everyone in one location, a gunshot is heard, causing chaos within the exhibition. Four individuals who had come to steal are apprehended by the police after they defuse the situation. Kamini Singh, in the meantime, notifies Mangesh Desai, her senior, that her five red solitaires have been taken.

The Home Minister assigns Jaswinder Singh the task of resolving this case. The sub-inspector looking into the theft case at the exhibition believes that the Hero has been stolen by someone who took advantage of the circumstances. He gestures to Mangesh and Kamini and asks Kamble for his name.

After questioning everyone in the room, Sikandar Sharma—who had come to fix the client’s AV—does something that raises suspicions in Jaswinder’s mind. Based on his gut, he arrests Mangesh as the first accused, Kamini as the second, and Sikandar Sharma as the third and questions them. By placing them on remand, he attempts to get the truth out of Sikandar, but none of the three are prepared to acknowledge that they are the ones who are being accused. 15 years pass, but the accused is not found.

After fifteen years, the director has shown that Jaswinder is suspended for failing to solve the case and that his senior fires him for drinking alcohol in the police station restroom during the day. In addition to losing his job, Jaswinder files for divorce from his wife. After 15 years, he learns about Sikandar from someone, asks for his number, apologizes, and claims that his intuition was incorrect.

Sikandar asks her to meet with him in person and apologize after reminding her of what he said fifteen years ago. In the meantime, the backstory of Sikandar and Kamini’s lives during those 15 years is also presented. Since the police have no evidence against them, they are initially granted bail. Their romance starts when Kamini, rather than Sikandar, pays the bail sum. After getting married, they move from Mumbai to Agra.

Since Kamini and Sikandar were not in Mumbai on the day of the case, the court issues a warrant against them; as a result, Sikandar must travel to Mumbai. The case is then closed, and all three of the accused are acquitted when the judge changes and Jaswinder, the police inspector, is not in the courtroom. The movie also depicts how, over the course of 15 years, Police Inspector Jaswinder harasses Sikandar by stealing his job and, on occasion, his home. The characters’ lives have undoubtedly advanced by fifteen years in the movie, but the filmmaker has also made sure that the audience can comprehend the backstory.

Sikandar and Jaswinder finally meet when she returns from Abu Dhabi after a 15-year absence. Jaswinder asks him who Tabassum, whom he met in Abu Dhabi, is before he apologizes. Sikandar tells him the whole truth after being a little taken aback by this. Face-to-face, Jaswinder apologizes to him, stating that his intuition was incorrect. With a sigh of relief, Sikandar leaves after hearing this. Jaswinder then informs him that Kamini works for them, but there is a backstory.

Sikandar is shocked to hear this. After giving Jaswinder a slap, he walks away. He returns home, tells Kamini the truth, and walks away from her. The story’s final half hour is where the real tension builds, as Sikandar visits his neighbor Priya, a friend from his youth who assists him in smuggling diamonds.

When he is making his way back to the bus, Jaswinder, whose instincts are always right, catches Sikandar, who believes he has deceived everyone by stealing the diamonds. He is forced to tell Jaswinder everything about how he planned the theft, how he discovered that Kamini works for them, and how he removed the diamonds from the exhibition. At last, Jaswinder realizes that Sikandar was writing his own destiny rather than Sikandar writing Sikandar’s. At the end of the film, Sikandar gives him a proposal. The film ends with the question, What is that proposal?

What are the movie’s positive and negative aspects

The film has a good story. The film could have been completed in two hours, but director Neeraj Pandey added a lot of suspense. The plot would not have been significantly affected even if Tabassum’s character had not appeared in the movie. In addition, it is unbelievable how Kamini and Sikandar, who had never even known one another’s names prior to the theft, suddenly find themselves in a romantic relationship. Mangesh, the first accused and a 32-year veteran of the diamond company, had his character abruptly cut out.

In addition, it is not revealed until the very end of the movie why Jaswinder’s wife files for divorce. The fact that Priya and Sikandar are involved in the theft is a positive aspect of the movie, though it is unlikely that anyone will consider this until the very end. This one question alone will keep you interested in the movie: who is the accused out of the three? Only the film’s timing has gotten a little out of hand, despite Neeraj Pandey’s brilliant writing and execution of the story.

How did the stars, from Jimmy to Tamanna, function?

It must be acknowledged that each actor in the movie did a fantastic job in their role. As married Kamini Singh, Tamannaah Bhatia looked stunning. Although she did not have many lines in the movie, she did them really well.

Aside from this, Jimmy Shergill deserves praise for his work as Sub Inspector Jaswinder Singh. You will remember his conversations. Aside from this, Avinash Tiwari did a fantastic job portraying “Sikander,” a character with a crafty mind concealed behind a naive exterior. Important actors Rajeev Mehta, Divya Dutta, and Zoya Afroz have also given their characters life.
