Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, all owned by Meta, experienced another outage on Wednesday night. Many users had issues accessing the apps because of this worldwide outage. In this regard, Meta also posted a tweet.

Once more, Meta’s service was unavailable for several hours in India and other parts of the world. Late on Wednesday night, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp—all owned by Meta—suddenly stopped functioning. It was not the first time users encountered this issue. Meta’s services have experienced numerous interruptions in 2024.
Following Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp’s worldwide outage, users had more difficulty using the app. Many users also voiced their complaints about the outage on various platforms after it occurred. The shutdown of Meta’s service was also confirmed by Downdetector, a website that monitors outages of various websites.

Over a million users complained about Facebook’s outage, according to Downdetector. More than seventy thousand people reported Instagram. WhatsApp has also been the subject of thousands of user complaints.

Around 11.30 p.m. on Wednesday, the issue of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp going down globally began. Users experienced issues sending and receiving messages as well as logging into the app during this period. Users posted about the issue on microblogging site X as soon as WhatsApp services were interrupted. The outage also caused issues for WhatsApp users to connect their app to other devices.
Meta also tweeted about the simultaneous worldwide outage on all three platforms. The company stated that we are aware that some users are experiencing difficulties accessing the apps because of technical issues. We are working to have it fixed as quickly as possible, the company added. Additionally, Meta expressed regret to its users for this issue.
