Munawar Faruqui travelled from Mumbai to Delhi on the same flight as members of the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. In the same hotel that Faruqui was staying at, the gang members were additionally making rooms.
After Baba Siddique’s murder, there was a lot of talk about who else the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was allegedly targeting. They claimed that, because of their friendship with Salman Khan, they were responsible for Baba Siddique’s murder. However, it has now been revealed that, in addition to Salman, comedian Munawar Faruqui is also a target of the Bishnoi gang.

A story says that as a precaution, police increased his security last month. This was confirmed to TOI by an important power. He stated that security was given to Farooqui. He would give more details, though, citing safety reasons.
It found that last month in Delhi, a few members of the Bishnoi gang had reportedly tried to murder him. They trailed after him. He is reportedly on the hit list of the gang. Also, the gang members booked a room in a Delhi hotel for themselves. In September, Farooqui was also staying here for an event.

Still, the attack was stopped by timely action by intelligence services. Sources claim that the standup comedian was returned to a secure location while being guarded by police. An officer informed TOI that Farooqui’s remarks regarding Hindu gods had infuriated the gang. He claimed that during a function in Delhi in September, a few shooters were given the task to launch an attack. The attackers were taking the same flight from Mumbai as Farooqui. According to the officer, the Delhi Police’s plot was thwarted when intelligence services informed them of this.
On October 12, Baba Siddiqui was shot and killed outside his Mumbai office. The following day, two shooters and one of the accused were taken into custody. Through a Facebook post, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has taken credit for the murder. According to certain reports, Siddiqui was singled out by the gang due to his close relationship with Salman Khan. He was also said to have connections to Dawood Ibrahim and other underworld leaders. Anuj Thapan, a suspect in the shootout outside Khan’s home who later killed himself while under police custody, was also mentioned in the story.
