The tension between North Korea versus South Korea is getting higher, inter-Korea roads will be targeted because North Korea has accused South Korea of using drones to drop propaganda leaflets over Pyongyang.

North Korea will threaten the South Korean side with a retaliatory attack if such incidents continue, and South Korea has detected preparations for a North Korean attack to destroy part of the inter-Korean road.

Several South Korean soldiers were seen patrolling along a barbed wire fence in Paju on Monday, October 14, a location close to the border with North Korea. The road is located in the northern part of the Korean Peninsula and has not been used for a long time.

In the past, the road was a symbol of hope for inter-Korean cooperation. However, this incident has made relations between the two countries, North Korea and South Korea worse. Kim Jong Un considered this move as an attempt to sever ties with South Korea and officially make it North Korea’s main enemy.

“They have set up roadblocks and are working behind the roadblocks, preparing to blow up the road,” said Lee Sung Joon, spokesman for the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff during a press conference in front of the media crew.

Lee Sung Joon also added that the installation of the roadblocks was done to deal with potential explosions. The significant step taken by North Korea by destroying the road is a form of North Korea’s isolation from South Korea.

North Korea announced its statement last week that it would take further steps to strengthen its defenses by blocking the border area with South Korea and building a new defense line on the front.

The North Korea Defense Ministry will order several artillery units on the border to immediately prepare to open fire and give a stern warning to South Korea that they will probably be reduced to rubble like a pile of ashes.

Even though the conflict on the Korean peninsula is heating up, experts believe that it is very unlikely that North Korea will launch a preemptive attack. Given that South Korea is superior in terms of military power and the combined forces of South Korea and the United States.

South Korean Unification Ministry spokesman Koo Byoungsam stated that North Korea will not be able to win what it wants from South Korea only with threats and provocations. The accusations directed at North Korea are only an attempt to trigger instability in South Korea.

Ahead of the US presidential election, observers believe that North Korea is preparing more weapons tests in the hope of using their provocations in the negotiation process with Washington in the future.
