At first, Sunita Williams was only supposed to be in the ISS for eight days. However, her return date keeps getting pushed back. NASA provided information on this topic on Tuesday, indicating that there might be more time involved in getting Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams back to Earth. They are currently anticipated to return to Earth in late March or early April.

There will be an additional delay in the return of two NASA astronauts who have been stranded on the International Space Station (ISS) for over six months to Earth. Sunita Williams, an Indian, originally embarked on an eight-day mission to the International Space Station. She has astronaut Butch Wilmore with her as well. However, their return date is getting closer.

Eight days turned into eight months, and now it’s ten months. NASA announced on Tuesday that Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore’s return to Earth would be delayed.

Starliner, a Boeing spacecraft, carried both astronauts to the International Space Station on June 5. However, Starliner returned to Earth empty-handed after NASA deemed it unfit for human habitation.

Following this, details regarding their return to Earth in SpaceX’s capsule in February of the following year emerged. However, there’s now a chance they could make it back to Earth by the end of March or early April. because NASA has advised them of the postponement of the spacecraft’s return launch.

NASA, the US space agency, says that Williams and Wilmore must be brought from the space station by new astronauts. The next mission’s launch has been rescheduled.
