On Sunday, February 2, the fifth and final match of the Twenty20 series between England and India took place at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Team India beat the visiting team by a score of 150 runs. India won the five-match series 4-1 with this win.

Fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who joined the Indian team, also stunned the British with his sharp bowling, but 24-year-old all-rounder Abhishek Sharma was the match’s greatest hero. After recovering from an injury, Shami got three wickets in this game and showed that he is ready for the Champions Trophy as well.

After 14 months, Mohammad Shami finally got a wicket for his country as he dismissed Ben Duckett for a golden duck. After giving up 17 runs in his opening over, Shami rallied and got rid of Duckett on the opening ball of his second over. While trying to hit an overhead shot on Shami’s ball, Duckett lost his wicket.

It is important to remember that Shami was unable to play in T20 internationals for a while before being added to the Indian team following a strong IPL showing. However, a heel injury sustained during the 2023 World Cup prevented him from playing. It is important to note that Shami missed the entire 2024 match because of the injury, and he did not play any cricket as a result. He was, however, added to the team for the current T20 series for the first time following the injury.
