For the first time, anti-drone systems have been used for the Maha Kumbh Mela security. Thanks to these four distinct anti-drone systems, no drone will be able to fly in the sky over the fair area without authorization. The systems will be in operation around the clock until the event is over. According to Director General of Police Prashant Kumar, a security circle has been established on land, in the water, and in the sky to ensure the safety of every devotee.
Beginning on January 10, the anti-drone system initially installed to safeguard the Maha Kumbh Mela will be operational. Four distinct anti-drone systems will be in operation around the clock until the end of the fair. Thanks to this system, no drone will be able to fly over the fairgrounds without authorization. It will quickly become inactive.

Before this, DGP Prashant Kumar tested the security measures and examined the VIP Ghat, the Sangam area, the Police Line, and other significant areas of the fairgrounds. From the boat, he also examined the Sangam Nose, Kila Ghat, and other ghats.

The DGP gathered information from the officials regarding the functioning of the CCTV cameras, drones, and other surveillance devices positioned in the fair area during the inspection. Additionally, he opened the Mela SSP’s temporary Kumbh office, which is situated in the fairgrounds.
ATS staff members performed a mock drill at Sangam Nose, demonstrating emergency response procedures, in front of the DGP. ADG Bhanu Bhaskar, SSP Mahakumbh Rajesh Dwivedi, Police Commissioner Tarun Gaba, and others were present during this.
This time, there are 40% more security measures
Additionally, work is being done on interstate border checkpoints. For Maha Kumbh’s security, the DGP stated that work is also being done on checkpoints at interstate borders. Compared to the previous Kumbh, forty percent more security measures have been put in place this time.
