H.E.R. musicians sang the U.S. national song The Star-Spangled Banner, as the United States flag was raised as the host of the 2028 Summer Olympics.
Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo is entrusted to hand over the flag as a symbol to her fellow LA Mayor Karen Bass who has been named the next host city of the Olympics.
Meanwhile, the 2024 Paris Olympics fire extinguishment was carried out by the best-performing male Olympic athlete at the Summer Olympic Games, also known as the local hero Leon Marchand.
Appearance of the Golden Voyager
Costumed spectators like the Golden Voyager appeared at the closing of the 2024 Paris Olympics. They turned the stadium into a post-apocalyptic atmosphere as the lights went off and the futuristic stage lit up.
Artistic director Thomas Jolly shows the Olympics have disappeared as the dystopian future occurs and the presence of the Golden Voyager becomes a symbol of the Olympic rebirth.
According to Thomas Jolly, it was a tribute to the creation of the Olympics and its resurrection by Pierre de Coubertin who is commonly known as the father of the modern Olympic Games in the late 19th century.
Thomas Bach’s “Culture of Peace” Speech
Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), in his speech called for a “culture of peace” in today’s war-torn world. “We know that the Olympics can’t create peace, but they can create a culture of peace that inspires the world,” said Thomas Bach.
