Dwayne Bravo, a former West Indies allrounder, has been named the Kolkata Knight Riders’ IPL 2024 mentor. Bravo previously served as the Chennai Super Kings’ bowling coach. Since Gautam Gambhir took over as India’s head coach, KKR has been searching for a new coach, which is now fulfilled.
In the IPL 2024, Gambhir served as the Kolkata Knight Riders’ mentor. In the final, KKR defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad to win the title. Gambhir took over as India’s head coach following the team’s championship. KKR has been searching for a new mentor ever since. They have now finished their quest. Dwayne Bravo, a former allrounder for the West Indies, has been named the mentor of the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Bravo was the bowling coach of CSK
In the 2024 IPL, Dwayne Bravo coached the bowling unit of the Chennai Super Kings. Bravo’s effort was also praised by the team’s youthful fast bowlers. He played in the IPL with CSK for a considerable amount of time even before that. Bravo was purchased by Chennai at the 2011 auction. He was absent from the squad during the season of Chennai’s ban. He was re-inducted by the team after his return. He joined Dhoni’s team’s coaching staff after retiring from the IPL.
Bravo came to meet CPL’s CEO
After meeting KKR CEO Venky Mysore at the CPL, Dwayne Bravo approved the deal. He will be with all of the other Knight Riders teams in the T20 competition in addition to KKR. Los Angeles Knight Riders (MLC), Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ILT20), and Trinbago Knight Riders (CPL) are among them.

During this CPL season, Dwayne Bravo has declared his retirement from cricket. He stated, “I have been a part of Trinbago Knight Riders in the CPL for the last 10 years,” after joining KKR as a trainer. I have a lot of respect for the Knight Riders’ methods because I have participated in league play both for and against them.
