There have only been three OneDay International (ODI) matches between Afghanistan and South Africa. In that time, South Africa has won two of the matches, while Afghanistan has won one. Hashmatullah Shahidi is leading Afghanistan in this series, while Aiden Markram is leading South Africa.
In the meantime, Hashmatullah Shahidi, the captain of Afghanistan, won the toss and chose to bat first in the second ODI. Afghanistan’s batting side enjoyed a fantastic start after winning the toss, as both openers amassed 88 runs for the opening wicket.
