According to every exit poll and survey released following Wednesday’s assembly election vote in Delhi, the BJP will create a two-pronged government in the capital. These surveys and exit polls show that the BJP’s 27-year exile in Delhi is coming to an end. Nine of the eleven exit polls have forecast the BJP’s victory, and two have predicted the Aam Aadmi Party’s.
There will be a fierce contest between the two, according to one exit poll, with the BJP leading. But compared to the previous election, Congress is not anticipated to gain a sizable lead. Please be advised that the official results will be announced by the Election Commission on February 8 following the vote count.

The Delhi Assembly, which has 70 members, has a majority of 36. Currently, the Congress has no MLAs, the BJP has eight, and the AAP has sixty-two. Since 2013, the capital has been governed by the Aam Aadmi Party. In Delhi, the BJP last held power between 1993 and 1998.
But based on the results of the past three assembly elections, exit polls have not been able to accurately predict Delhi voters’ sentiments. Although the 2013 mandate was split, exit polls were also unable to project the AAP’s lopsided wins in 2015 and 2020.

Up till 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Delhi voters cast 57.89 percent of the ballots in the assembly elections. Delhi has a total of 1 crore 56 lakh 14 thousand voters.
Even after six of the clock in the evening, voting was still taking place at roughly two polling places, according to a senior official in Delhi’s Chief Electoral Officer’s office. The real vote percentage may therefore change till late at night.
