The school timetable has been adjusted due to the alter of the cold in Delhi NCR. All Gautam Buddha Nagar schools will now begin classes up to class 8 at 10 a.m. until further notice. At the same time, classes in schools will be held in a hybrid format (online and offline) due to Delhi’s increasing pollution and the GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan) implementation. Due to pollution, classes IX and 11 will now operate in hybrid mode as well. Originally, lessons were scheduled to begin after the winter holidays.

Due to the cold prediction, the District Basic Education Officer of Gautam Buddha Nagar has decided to say January 16 and 17 are holidays. Following this, January 18 is a Saturday, and January 19 is a Sunday. In such circumstances, schools may remain open until January 20.

In Ghaziabad, classes 9 to 11 are being held in hybrid style, while sessions up to class 8 are already closed until January 18. In order to protect the students’ health, this action was taken because of the increasing pollution. After a 15-day break, schools in Faridabad and Gurugram have also reopened.

Due to the extreme cold, some districts in Uttar Pradesh have declared that their schools will be closed to students (UP School Holiday). District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar has directed that all public, private, and council schools in Bareilly remain closed on Wednesday from first to eighth grade. Nidhi Srivastava, the district magistrate of Badaun, has also directed that all schools up to class eight remain closed for two days on January 15 and 16. Schools in Shahjahanpur up to class eight have been closed till January 16 due to a similar order.
