CM Atishi Responded to Chess Player Tania Sachdev's Criticism of The Delhi Government

Grandmaster Tania Sachdev, a woman, has brought up important concerns regarding the Delhi government. Tania Sachdev has voiced her dissatisfaction with the sport’s lack of recognition. Atishi, the Chief Minister, also addressed her worries.

Grandmaster Tania Sachdev, an Indian chess player, has voiced her concern about the sport’s lack of support. She aimed at the Delhi government, claiming that her outstanding results in international competitions such as the Chess Olympiad went unnoticed.

Tania stated that the Delhi government has not acknowledged or accepted the women’s team, despite their return with a bronze in the 2022 Chess Olympiad and a gold in the historic Chess Olympiad two years later.

She went on to say that states encourage and honour their winners. She asked Arvind Kejriwal, national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi to take note of this.
