This week, Samsung will release the first beta version of One UI 7, which will be accessible in a few locations, including India, as part of its delayed rollout of Android 15. The first beta version will be released in December, as it appears that the company has scheduled the official release to take place at the same time as the next Galaxy S flagship series. Since December 5, Samsung has been distributing the One UI 7 update to nations in the US, India, Germany, Poland, and Korea.
Which phones will receive the Samsung One UI Android 15 beta update
According to Samsung, the official One UI 7 update with cutting-edge AI features will be available for its upcoming Galaxy S series devices starting in the first quarter of 2025. If you own one of the following Samsung models, you can participate in the One UI 7 beta program:
The Samsung Galaxy S24
The Galaxy S24 Plus from Samsung
The Galaxy S24 Ultra from Samsung
Although we do not currently see that happening, the post makes no mention of whether the FE version will also receive this update. The company has promised that other Galaxy devices will eventually be able to access this update as well.
What features will be included in the Samsung One UI 7 update
One UI 7 includes a significant UI redesign in addition to the new AI tools. Samsung asserts that the Android 15 version is also strengthening the device’s security features. It has improved features like auto-blocker, theft protection, Knox Matrix, and more. Additionally, Samsung phones will be able to block 2G networks, a feature that Google appears to have added with the latest version.
Although Samsung’s delay in releasing the Android 15 update has been discussed extensively, consumers may be willing to wait if the company can demonstrate some significant improvements. It is amusing that Google has already advanced its plans for Android 16, which will be released ahead of its cycle, while Samsung is announcing updates for the current version.
