WhatsApp now has new features and said that the features is a positive evolution of its previous chat filter feature. The custom chat list is the most asked feature by WhatsApp users, which number more than millions of people.
The aim of this latest WhatsApp feature is to help users organize their chats better. It is expected that the launch of this feature will take place next week considering that the feature is already available on millions of devices in India.
The positive evolution of this latest WhatsApp feature can allow us as users to find certain chats, from a certain date by just searching for a few words from the conversation.
“With lists, you can filter chats with several special categories of your choice. Be it a list for family, work or the surrounding environment such as friends, colleagues, etc. List help you focus on important conversations when you need them”.
Users can tap the “+” icon on the filter bar at the top of the chat tab and create a custom list as desired. Users can also create or edit a new list by long-pressing an existing list and replacing it with a new one.
“Similar to ‘favorites’, you can add groups and one-on-one chats to list, and any lists you create will appear in the filter bar,” the company wrote in a blog post.
For Indian users, the feature is expected to roll out to all users in the coming weeks. India is WhatsApp’s largest user base with an estimated 535 million active users by 2024.
