The first triple-screen foldable smartphone, the Mate XT Ultimate Design, was introduced by Chinese electronics manufacturer Huawei last month. Caviar, a manufacturer of luxury gadgets, has unveiled a 24-carat gold version of this smartphone. Black Dragon and Gold Dragon models are among them. These smartphones come in storage sizes of 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB.
Caviar’s bespoke Mate XT Ultimate Design Gold Dragon model with 256GB storage is priced at roughly $14,500, 512GB at around $14,930, and 1TB at around $15,360. The Black Dragon model with three storage versions is priced at roughly $12,770, $13,200, and $13,630 respectively. An engraving in 24K gold is included with the Mate XT Ultimate Design. There will only be 88 of these smartphones up for grabs.
The Mate XT Ultimate Design, which is only available in China, is in high demand, according to Huawei. At the start of the sale, it ran out of stock. The international market for this smartphone will shortly open. The entry-level model, which comes with 256 GB of storage and 16 GB of RAM, costs CNY 19,999 (about Rs 2,35,900). The cost of this smartphone’s 512 GB and 1 TB storage versions is CNY 21,999 (about Rs 2,59,500) and CNY 23,999 (roughly Rs 2,83,100), etc.
There are two colour options for the Mate XT Ultimate Design: red and black. Out of the box, the dualSIM smartphone runs HarmonyOS 4.2. When extended, the screen has a size of 10.2 inches (3,184 × 2,232 pixels). When folded once, the smartphone’s flexible LTPO OLED screen measures 7.9 inches (2,048 x 2,232 pixels), and when folded once, it displays 6.4 inches (1,008 x 2,232 pixels). The smartphone’s exterior features a 50-megapixel camera with an aperture range of f/1.2 to f/4.0 and optical image stabilization (OIS). Both a 12-megapixel periscope zoom camera with a 5.5x optical zoom and an f/3.4 aperture and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture are featured. Huawei now has a smartphone to rival Samsung in the quickly growing foldable smartphone business.
